The Truth About Commercial Pet Food
A tragic conspiracy is underway in this country and it is the voiceless innocent who are made to suffer. Many veterinarians say that feeding commercial dog food to your beloved pet is cutting its very life short! Leading dog-health authors continue to warn us about the deficient nutritional value and often poison-tainted content of commercially produced dog foods.
On top of the less than nutritionally fulfilling ingredients that go into commercial dog foods, there is the added danger of the chemical preservatives added to the mix. These chemicals are added to prolong the shelf life of these foods in the store, regardless of the detrimental effects it may have on the health of the animals that consume it. In order to maximize profits the dog food manufacturers have to make their product last as long as possible. It is a well-known fact that these chemicals are dangerous but to the big dog food companies it is money, not your pet, that is the most important concern.
These preservatives are a major cause of many illnesses and death in dogs who were unknowingly killed by their caring owners. There are at least six known preservatives that have been banned from use in human foods because of the increased incidence of cancers of the skin, liver, spleen, kidneys and other organs. They are linked to blindness, birth defects, hair loss, allergic reactions and hair loss.
Pet food manufacturers justify their claims to “preservative-free” foods because legal requirements do not force them to list preservatives that have been added at the rendering plants before being sent to the manufacturer. Nor are they required to list exactly what animals are used to process the dog food they serve your pet. Often it is the recycled remains of dog pounds, effectively making your beloved pet an unwitting cannibal.
There is a way to circumvent this intentional conspiracy against your pets. People are often surprised and amazed at how easily and cheaply they can make their own dog and cat food from inexpensive ingredients in the convenience of their own kitchens. If you love your pet enough to spend a few minutes of quality time with them, then it will be no strain on your schedule to take a few minutes to prepare real food with real nutrition for them. Avoid the tragedy of killing your pet with commercially manufactured foods and spend a few more years together with your much healthier and more long-lived four-legged companion.
Learn the truth about dog food now before it’s too late to stop the damage that poisoned food is doing to your pet!
